This section of the theme will discuss the key processes involved in the design of a research project.

The importance of planning and timetabling

All research projects require meticulous planning and the careful location, collection and collation of data before writing begins. As part of your studies, you will be required to develop a suggested dissertation timetable. You will need to refine this into a detailed timetable, with clearly identified key stages, activities and deadlines. You should negotiate this with your Research Supervisor.
